I'm not sure why people are so angry that they will reject God or they don't want to believe in a higher power.
We as a society, have prisions for the unbelievers of law and the consequences of violating that law.
So with that in mind we have a God that loves us and gave us the10 commandments to follow and keep ourselves within His law.
The first time we violate any one of them, we condemn ourselves,like a prisioner to a place without His help. I think that would be dark, cold and nothing. No music, vision or warm hugs. But some people want to take that chance anyway.
God when He made us He gave us free will to chose our beliefs. Too bad some people never got it from their parents. Some parents abused their children so they don't believe in a God because parents are supposed to be the image of love. All their children may see is; hate and no possible way of a loving God and the promises He gave us.
But God still loves the hell out of us. God even sent His Son Jesus to us, to help us make a choice, to follow His life and believe. Some people still chose to deny that fact.
So God lets the good and bad happen and we pray that the children not seeing God will someday believe especially when they need His guidance. We as Christians are supposed to be that example of Jesus,(good God believers and follow the commandments forgive and love one another)
Its amazing! A lottery ticket takes most of our money and returns nothing for the masses of loosers. Jesus has no loosers that follow His message and it doesn't cost a buck either. Let go and let God come into your heart.
So the answer is Free will to chose where we go. The better answer is that if you follow Jesus you won't go to hell and that is His Guarantee and He poured out His blood to seal the deal.

Hell doesn't exist. I would be more concerned about the person that wastes their entire life wondering about what's going to happen after they die.

To avoid spending eternity with Christians. Bad enough spending a lifetime with them. Plus, the music's gonna be WAY better in hell.
