My black Labradors eye is swolen. I've taken it to the park and its had no contact with other dogs. Im thinking an infection or bee sting. Can anyone provide tips or methods of sterilising or bathing the wound. I cannot get the dog to the vet untill tomorrow morning.

Thanks in advance

Phone your vet. my vet is happy to give advice on the phone and doesn't charge for this service.

bathe the dogs eye in a mixture of warm water and a spoonful of bicarb, or salt water, don't rub the eye has this will cause the dog discomfort, it probably has been in contact with stingers or pollen just has we do it will sting for a while
hope this helps

Try a weak, cool solution of salt water. Swipe only once with cotton wool. Vet tomorrow if no better.

omg.. that must be the case of eye sickness.. notwithstanding be the reason you pls make beneficial she shouldn't rub it.. attempt to make her sleep so as that she would not experience the soreness! :-( tutor her to the physician as quickly as attainable!

leave it alone and the problem will fix itself. if you're embarrassed of the dog just get a new one.
