Raise it up on cinder blocks. Put hindges on the roof so you can get inside to clean. Use heavy gauge clear plastic for the door, cut slits in the plastic to make it easier for the dog to get in and out. And be sure you seal the inside to keep bugs out of the wood. Good Luck.

Pour a nice square of concrete first. Build the dog house and place it on a base of 4x4 lumber. The concrete will keep the dog house from sitting on the ground. The 4x4's will elevate the doghouse off the concrete. We put shingles on our doghouse and painted it the same color as our house. The dog hates it but the kids love it!

put the doghouse up on stilts. Then it will be up above the wet ground. Of course you will need to make your dog wear stilts, too. Let me know if you need a set, because I have lots of dog stilts in different sizes. You might as well dress the dog up like a clown, too, as long as your at it... Charge admission from people who stare as a way to make a little extra money.

How about YOU sleep outside 24\7 in a small wooden house with nothing to do all day but stare at a fence while you family gets to stay in a nice warm house and you only get attention when its convenient for them Keep the dog int he house, simple as that. Its cruel, slefish and lazy to make a dog stay outside because its convenient for you. Dogs need to be inside with their family not left outside like living lawn ornaments

You can put patio blocks under the base of the dog house and build a ramp for the dog to go in and out.
