I am curious to here different experiences from people who have had to start over after a long relationship (mine was 8 yrs) How did you deal with it? Did anybody end up getting back together with the person from the long relationship? We've been apart 2 months now.

Here is what I do. I have a break up ceremony which is to lay to rest, forgive and move on.

You'll need a pack of Cigarettes, Some Jose Cuervo and a barbecue.

Your ceremony is this.
1. You promise yourself that this night is the last night that (insert name) will affect me emotionally in anyway. This is the last time that I will allow his/her to control my happiness. I hereby forget they even exist and cleanse my home and body of their presence.
2. Light up the barbecue and start tossing in any pictures, letters or paperwork linking you to this person.
3. Light up a smoke and start taking shots of Jose Cuervo.

Burn anything that has to do with that person, get wasted and smoke the cigs. It's a cleansing process..works everytime.

Wake up in the morning refreshed and move on with bigger and better things.

I have been married 3 times over 25 years. My first was for 3 years. I still love her very much. we have been apart for 22 years. / My second was for 11 years and I hate her guts. We have been apart for 10 years. / My third was for 9 years and I still love her very much. We have been apart for 1 year. / I think it really depends on the person and what the reason for the breakup is as to how long it takes to get over someone. It depends on just how much you were in love with that person and who's fault it was for the breakup. Good luck. If you need someone to talk with, email me @ mbbaker55@yahoo.com
