Since when do people want to go to hell? I dont know about you, but I want to go to heaven...

Some people do say that they want to go to hell, but first they define hell, and I'm not sure that it will fit their definition. Neither do they really know what heaven will be like. I don't. Read the New Testament and see how often Jesus pointed out the errors of people's belief in hell or heaven. If we really knew what they were like, I don't believe that there would be any indecision.

I don't think that people want to go to hell, it's just they don't believe in it so they diregard the fact that hell doesn't exist. They reject everything that has to with God and embrace everything that is evil in the sight of God.There are many people that are blinded by the truth because they allow the ideas and philosophies of the world to infultrate their souls. Therefore, a person with this kind of view is going to justify himself and say there is no such thing as "Hell", when in reality there is. Again, I don't think they want to go to hell, is just they are blinded by the real truth and don't know any bettter. Why would someone want to go to hell?. So they can be tormented for eternity. It just doesn't make sense. God is awesome. Amen.

I don't think anyone one would want to be separated from God that way. But too many don't believe it is as bad as it is.

There are some that God revealed what hell is like to share with others. For one thing, the devils in charge down there hate you sooo much. It is the complete oposite of God loving you sooo much.

Some earlier answers think they already had hell on earth. Well, I did. At the beginning of a 1 yr breakdown. Just magnify the horror feelings. Just like depression, magnify that.

People like to deny that there is a hell. Jesus said there is a hell made for the devils & his messengers. Some go there and there is no living water. Denying that there is a hell doesn't change the reality that there is a hell fire. I don't think that many actually go there though. It is Gods will that none should perish & all should come to repentance and inherit everlasting life.

I have prayed to God about some people who the Lord let me know were in hell fire. Al Zaquari terrorist went to a place of terror, where Saddams sons are and also Arrafat, & Saddam himself & they don't care to converse either or w/their prophet. John Lennen & others who lead people away from Gods Saving Grace in their music & message.

Some people have no idea how bad Hell is and when they find out it'll be to late. I for one don't understand it myself because I'd rather go to a better place like Heaven then rot in hell. I think the reason why some people want to go isn't because they want to but they don't believe in Hell and Heaven and they think that they'll ethier just die and go no where or be reincarnation which isn't true. That is what I think anyways.

They are deceived by the god of this world, in "darkness" as Paul put it in Ephesians, and John put it. I know, as I would imagine most christians do, that God exists with 100% certainty. Also what He has done in my life and in the lives of other believers makes me confident in the Bible's picture of human destiny. Atheists don't even believe that God exists. So they don't take the danger of an eternity in permanent misery seriously, and laugh about it as if it was nothing.

I guess most believers were once that way.

2 ways to answer:
1: I don't believe in a mythical underworld so I'm not concerned about going there.
2 (Cynic): Hell is obviously where all the cool people are going, people who have fun and know how to live life not all "uptight". Who would want to go to an uptight gated community full of a bunch of self righteous people?

If you lived in Nazi Germany, would you be willing to go to a concentration camp rather than follow Adolf Hitler?

If refusing to worship a god who supposedly almost destroyed the human race in the flood, who supposedly slaughtered the innocent first born of Egypt, who supposedly destroyed or had destroyed countless cities from Sodom to Jericho, and who supposedly created or creates natural disasters and diseases that each year kill millions - if that puts me in hell then so be it. I will go their knowing that right is on my side even if might is on his.

Of course there is no hell. Or heaven. Or god. So neither of us have anything to worry about. Save, of course, for the time and money you're wasting on your pipe dream.

Your question makes no sense unless put into the context that "anyone who behaves differently than you, anyone who thinks differently than you" are going to hell. Perhaps you need a better understanding of yourself, not of others before you post a question like this...this question is filled with theological bigotry, reeks of "better than thou." NOT very Christian, and certainly will not lead you to the gates of heaven. Think it over carefully.

If you've come across someone who wants to go to hell, you must be mixing with stranger folk than I do. Most people I know don't believe in such nonsense in the first place.
