Golf is actually a very challenging sport. You have to hit this tiny white ball with a club that is equally small. It takes excellent hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and perfect swing in order to hit the ball square on instead of topping it or hitting nothing but dirt.
I can guaruntee that you asked this question because you've only watched golf on tv and thought, "Why is this sport even televised? It's so boring." Try to understand the game, maybe hit a few balls on the driving range, or, even better, actually play 18-holes of golf. Don't judge the game until you can understand it.

That is not that point in golf. To get the ball in the HOLE is very difficult and takes lots of practice and talent. You try doing it and see for yourself. If golf was so lame and boring why would there be so much money to be won to win a competition??? You might not find golf very interesting but is it really necessary to complain and bring a sport down that many people love?

well silly you , sillyme...its a game hundreds of years old(very precise, and very difficult, even at the same course on different days)...that all of the greatest athletes of our other beloved sports wish they could play better...Jordan, Gretzky, Howe, Elway, Delahoya, and huge number of high profile athletes from all sports and many world famous celebrities , entertainers, multi millionaires and politicians all play the game and wish they could become more proficient at it...the people that dont get it basically never tried it...which is the attitude of a lot of urban kids who arent exposed to it at an early age, or until people get a level of finance where cost and time to play arent issues...(it can be very costly...Im a casual player (hacker) who spends 5 to 15 thousand a year to play golf (no membership fees) all over the state...oh and what golf stands for...gentlemen only etc etc...total myth...

for most people its to get away from women, girls cant play cuz they got boobs, look at the lpga players they all got no boobs
go out with your buddies with some beer, plus you dont need to be in good physical shape, just take a cart and run over trees and try and flip it, thats what i do, its fun to do that stuff
also i am a plus 2 handicap so im better than probably 99.999999% of people on here
i go out though to bc its a challenging sport and u can never really master it
if you think tiger woods and pros are good, go to the pga website and actually look at their stats, ever notice they dont show the bad players/shots on tv, wonder why

That sums it up for me.....throw in the challenge of getting a white (small) sphere into a roughly 4 inch target. Hows that for an answer?
