Since this is something that only those in the congregation would know, since it is not printed on the outside of the building, you would think they would want to point to where they went to the meetings.

The names of congregations or the region a Kingdom Hall Covers is not placed on the outside of the building. You have to be a witness to know this.

The difference is they can claim anything they want. I was disfellowshipped from the Corning, Ca Congregation in 1982.

Why would you think they would want to point that out? Do people from each kingdom hall have different doctrine? If not, what difference would it make?

EDIT: Perhaps they stated which kingdom hall during their interviews, but that got edited out. The importance of exactly where they fellowshipped seems lost on non-JWs (the producers of BBC for example), I still don't see what it is based on your response.
