I have really bad allergies !!! Lately, they are getting worse I'm starting to get mild ashma attacks. I've tried many products, meds, saline rinse and even 2 air cleaners. I will be honest I havent been able to breath out of both side of my nose for at least a year. I read about the peroxide water rinse on the internet and wanted to know it works.

Peroxide is not a good choice to rinse your sinuses with. It is way to harsh for that. Consider seeing your allergist and trying allergy shots. Also ask if they will consider doing a set of sinus x-rays to be sure there is no medical problem going on besides allergies. Next get rid of all of your toxic cleaning and laundry products and replace them with all natural products as many of them are registered pesticides. Once you replace them take the toxic products to your toxic waste recycling place for proper disposal. Clean every room, floor and piece of furniture in your home with the new stuff and wash all of your clothes and bedding in the new stuff. Be sure you are using a good air purifier in your home and be sure to use a good multivitamin and a good antioxidant supplement daily.

Peroxide Sinus Rinse

I am a nurse and do allergy testing for the local ENT doctor in my area. The best sinus rinse you can use is 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 baking soda and 8 oz water. Mix it up, lean over the sink and flush each side of the nose with a 20cc syringe or a sinus rinse bottle at your local walmart or walgreens. Flush it 2-3 times on each side. You can't do this to many times, it's only salt and soda water. It should feel like you jumped into a swimming pool and forgot to hold your nose. (Ouch) but it really works, then use a nasal spray if your doctor recommends, ex: nasonex, rhinocort, nasocort, and an antihistimine as well. You will feel alot better. The combination of all three is your first step, then if no better, you need a CT of the sinuses, you may need surgery.Good Luck.

I feel the peroxide is not the way to go. Your mucuos membranes would not react well to that at all. I had sinus surgery to rid myself of chronic infections, allergy symptoms, headaches. The scrap your sinus cavities of scar tissue that builds up, they repaired a deviated septum at the same time, I highly recommend the surgery if you are constantly suffering. I can't honestly remember the last headache I've had, no migraines anymore, and my allergies are considered mild or non-existance. Good luck.
