I'm 21, 5'2 and weigh 51 kg. Its not like i'm asking to lose alot of weight here just a few pounds, so i can get my BMI down to 18.5,which is just on the very edge of being under weight, which is still healthy. At the moment my BMI is about 20.
I've tried loads and loads of diets before but they've just got too confusing, so now i only have one choice and thats to eat very little in deed for about 2 weeks, and this includes eating just 1 bowl of low fat cereal a day, and drinking lots and lots of water.
I really want to try this out for 2 weeks,as i'm so desperate to get rid of those extra pounds, do you think im still harming myself even though its just for 2 weeks???? surely not??

yes..it is harmfull for only one day...

starving the body is the exact opposite of what is needed for the body to release fat stores for use as energy. if you starve yourself you will lose water weight as muscle and liver glycogen stores are depleted. the weight will return once you eat carbs again. starving the body puts the body into starvation mode which slows down the metabolic rate.

you should be focusing on changing your body composition, reducing the level of body fat. the BMI is only helpful for addressing the health issues associated with central obesity.

If your bmi is already 20 why do you want to lose weight.? You might possibly make yourself sick because you would be starving yourself to death. That is not enough food for a 3year old.
