I have a beautiful tat of a female sun,had it for a very long while now. When I got it,they told me to use neosporin until it healed and was no longer sore, this will keep it from getting infected and causing little sores where the needle went in,those sores can easily be rubbed off and cause the color to come out.I used neosporin for about 3 days and then went to using lubriderm, never use scented lotions on a tattoo, they really arent good for your skin anyway. Then when it has healed and doesnt itch anymore, keep using the lotion, always. And dont forget to put sunblock on your tattoo cuz nothing fades a tat like the sun.I have had mine for about 10 years now,and its still just as bright and beautiful as when I got it,and I go to the tanning bed 3 times a week. But I always use sunblock!

Most likely, but you won't know the true outcome until its healed.

Get yourself some mild soap and wash your tattoo at least 3 times a day, and exchange that lotion for some aquaphor until it flakes. Switch on over to some lubriderm or curel after that!

There are acne products out there that contain moisturizers so they do not dry out your skin. There are many different brands that offer this. Just visit your local Walgreens or CVS and browse their selections. It should say "moisturizing" on the front as well as "acne treatment." Find a product that advertises both, and choose the product that fits in your price range. As for acne treatment. Do not wash your face too often. The skin on your face naturally produces oils. If you wash your face too much (whether it's skin-drying acne treatment soaps or even just water) you are washing away that oil. If your face gets too dry, it will panic and over-produce oil to make up for the dryness. Putting lotion on your skin will clog your pores and result in more acne.

I was told to use Lubriderm too, also I was told to wash the area with Ivory soap or baby soap until it was completely healed. Another thing too...if your tattoo is in a spot that will see alot of sun make sure you use a sunscreen on it, otherwise the ink will fade over time, which it will anyway but why help it along?

If the tattoo is brand new...hasn't peeled or is peeling you should be putting neosporin or something like that on it. But, you are on the right track. Lotion it everyday after it is fully healed to keep it looking great!!

That is fine, as long as it isn't heavily perfumed. My tattoo parlor suggests Tat Wax, or Tattoo Goo-made specifically for hydration of tattoos.
