so my fiance has been in boot camp for the marines for about 3 months now, he gets out april 6th but i will only get to see him for about a week and a half and then he has to go back for more training. after that training, they will most likely station him in NC, but i live in FL. i dunno how well this will work, i have been with him for almost a year and a half now, what do i do?

also, after he gets stationed somewhere, theres no way of knowing when he will get shipped off to iraq, that is why i have chosen to stay in florida instead of moving to wherever he gets stationed with him, bc i would rather not be left all alone in a place im not familiar with while he is overseas.

Ok, I've totally been in your shoes and it sucks. I would get a call only once , every three weeks. Everything else was letters and I only got to see him for two days, graduation day and family day. To be honest, God helped us out and allowed him to move back here, but I know what you are going through. It is a horrible feeling to not have the one you love by your side. But if your love is really strong, then you will hold out for him and wait. If you find yourself questioning yourself too much, please do him a favor and tell him now. It will hurt much less now, then later. Trust me, when you see him, it'll be worth it though. And another thing, you are no longer living a "civilian life" , you as well as him are part of the "military life", and that means you have to act as strong as him. Remember, it's all up to you but also remember, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder".

It can work, but you both have to be willing to work hard at it. If you are engaged to him, and he is making a carreer in the USMC then you have to be prepared for your life to be this way.

do you love him? it would help him to know that he has someone thinking about him, loving him and worrying and praying for his safe return. if you dont love him, maybe you dont worry about those things. does he have plans to come home to you? or to someone else? does he love you? peace
