A hair weave is a treatment offered in many salons that provides clients with the look and feel of longer or thicker hair. The reason that this treatment is referred to as a "hair weave" is that artificial or natural human hair purchased by the salon client is woven into the client's natural hair, quite close to the scalp.

Many people decide to have a hair weave because they want to have longer hair, thicker hair, or because they do not like the texture of their natural hair. The type of hair that is woven into the natural hair can be any color, length, and texture that client chooses. A natural blonde with short curly hair can get a hair weave that will leave her with gold locks all the way down to her waist.

Depending on the client's natural hair type and desired look, the hair weave may be applied in a number of different ways. In some cases, a hair weave can entirely cover the client's natural hair. In this instance, it is as though the client has a wig affixed to her head. A hair weave can also be used to accentuate one's natural hair. This type of hair weave is generally used by people who have straight to wavy hair. If a brunette with shoulder-length hair wanted longer, thicker hair, she could have a hair weave added to add inches and volume to her look. The trick here is making sure that the additional hair matches the natural hair. This type of hair weave is often referred to as "extensions."

Getting a hair weave often requires quite a bit of time and money. Salon clients can spend hundreds of dollars on the hair alone. Human hair, for example, is often much costlier than synthetic hair. The service through which the additional hair is woven into the natural hair can take hours of time and, depending on the salon, a good deal of money. Furthermore, if you decide to get a hair weave that is a different color than your natural hair, you may have to have your hair colored as well.

If you are interested in getting a hair weave, it is important to note that you will have to return to the salon to have the weave removed and, of you choose, a fresh weave applied. Depending on the type of hair weave that you get and the growth rate of your hair, your following appointment could be between three weeks and two months.

hahahaha funny question!
There r different types of weaves! There r...
~glue-in weaves ($70)
this weave is quick and easy! all u do is part the hair and glue it in! this kind of weave only lasts for about a week or 2. U can not wash ur hair if u have this weave! (the glue will get loose and the hair will then detach from ur scalp)
~sew-in weaves
this type weave is best but a lil more time consuming being that ur hair must b braided in order to sew the human or synthetic hair on. There r 2 types of sew-ins.....
~weaves with just a few tracks ($95-$115)
the only part of ur hair that needs to braided are the parts in which the purchased hair will b "installed" haha This type of weave only requires that u put in either 3 or 4 tracks.
and
~full head weaves ($200+)
all ur hair must b braided up in a circle. (it looks something like a beehive!) Once all ur hair is braided, the weave, preferrable human hair, is ready to be sewn onto the braids. For a more natural look, leave hair around the edges out of the braids so the weave won't look like a wig. hahaha

There r other kinds of weaves too. But so far, I've only done these kinds!

Well, I hope I helped u figure it out. I tried my best in explaining!

Well weave is something that people use to make their hair look longer or thicker or whatever. Weave comes in different colors and styles and everything. You can even get the closest to human hair as I've seen!My friend had that kind and if I didn't know her I might have thought it was her real hair!

A weave is basically fake hair attached to your real hair. It can be sewn, glued, or infused to your head. The fake hair can either be human or synthetic hair and it is loose strands of hair that are wefted together on one end.
