Samuel Peter easily. Shannon Briggs has never been great. he is good for todays heavysweights. Remember when he barely got a win against an old George Forman. Alot of people thought he shouldn't have won that fight and that was Shannon Briggs in his prime.
Briggs is good and would put up a fight.Samuel Peter would knock him out in 5 rounds.

I think Shannon Briggs has spent too much time with the weights and not enough sparring, running and cardio. Sam Peter on the other hand had never looked better than in his last fight with James Toney. He took off weight and built up stamina and would undoubtedly outwork and outlast Shannon Briggs. The only chance Briggs would have is to land a knock out punch but I think Peter has matured enough to take a good punch and guard against too many of them which would not be a hard task if Briggs put on a performance like he did when he won his title.
Sam Peter would win with 7th round TKO

Sam Peters would dominate Shannon Briggs. Based on his boxing ability last fight against James Toney, Sam Peter showed how much improvement to his boxing game he has made.
Briggs' only fight against a top 10 contender (I don't count the alphabet titles) was Sergei Liakhovich, who he was barely able to beat in the very last round. Peters' chin is way too solid to be hurt by a big Briggs' punch.
Peters would knock out a very winded Briggs in less than 6 rounds.

If Briggs takes this fight seriously, unlike his last fight, he will knock the crap out of Peter. Sam Peter barely beat James Toney. Little 5'10" Toney should have won that fight if it weren't for the judges. Briggs is the same size if not bigger than Peter and will create a problem for Sam Peter. Briggs will win by unanimous decision.

It would be a quick fight, and I don't see Shannon getting out of it with his belt.
Sam Peters by KO in one.

i do unlike the two combat too plenty, yet i'm extra disenchanted that Briggs have been given the combat with Vitali. Him gettting a call shot purely shows how susceptible the Heavyweight branch is. a minimum of with Wladimir there is often of venture somebody can get to his glass chin, yet seeing as he beat Sam already after being dropped thrice he will probable purely repeat that overall performance as properly the knockdowns. the ideal fights which could be made at Heavyweight in my opinion may well be David Haye or Tomasz Adamek (in line with possibility at last Odlanier Solis) vs the two Klitschko brother, in spite of the indisputable fact that ideally Haye vs Wladimir because has the extra ideal possibility of being a good combat. Or, how approximately we've Adamek vs Haye? it may't be for the call, yet they're the two small Heavyweights and % to make interesting fights (in assessment to the Klitschkos) so as that would desire to certainly be the ideal action combat to make interior the Heavyweight branch. the region is amazingly unhappy, and that i don't have something against the Klitschko brothers because of fact they're good warring parties and actual freaks, yet the two considered one of them keeping the titles and making it so there won't be able to be one million sparkling-decrease Heavyweight champion the way it is going to be is amazingly undesirable for the branch or maybe worse for Boxing.
