They have safe pet wipes (not sure the actual name?) that I got a petsmart because I have a cat who has the same problem. You can also brush her..they seem to usually like that.

Sure you can bathe her. Once a month or every two is sufficient. I've bathed my cat since she was pretty young and she just meows bitchily when she gets a bath. Of course, use a pet shampoo. There are plenty of nice cat ones available. And a shower will work but if it gets in her face she is more apt to run out of the shower. Don't forget to get into those stinky arm pits, LOL

My cat (Basil) can be a bit stinky sometimes. He is a bit slack about licking his bum on occasion...
Anyway, we deal with this in two ways:
1) We have a sponge that we wet and put cat shampoo on and wash him with that (just wiping really). Basil really doesn't mind that too much. I think it reminds him of his mum licking him.
2) We make up some gravy powder and wipe it on his bum or anywhere else we want him to wash. I read this tip from somewhere...and it really does help. Ultimately cats find washing themselves pleasurable, so just help her find her way and she should be ok!
If you've only got a shower then I guess you need to do it. I'd take the shower down though. But I'd really try the sponge route. Basil is absolutely fine with that, and really hates baths. But I would be sure to shut the bathroom door! It's a bit hard to bathe him when he's hiding under the bed!!

I bathe both my kitties once a month because I am allergic to them, not because they are dirty. I used to do it in a bath tub, but found it's actually much easier to do in the kitchen sink. If you have an additional pair of hands, that will help, as you will need help holding her down. My cats tend to squirm and meow like I am beating them. Just hold them firmly and use pet shampoo. You can get it at walmart for like five bucks. And if your kitty has claws, you'll definately want to trim them first, otherwise you'll end up looking like a pin cushion..

I get the pet wipes at Walmart. They are really cheap and work great! I wouldnt take her into the shower unless you dont mind loosing your skin and blood. When you bathe her w/ the wipes, she doesnt even realize she is getting a bath. She just thinks you are loving her. I use them on my 2 cats all the time. They are worth twice their weight in gold.

most cats are clean by nature. if you wash her this inclination should kick in cats will lick themselves dry. i bathe my tom at least once a week because he gets his rather long bushy tail into everything. but they won't like it but you can shower her but wear a long sleeve top or trim her claws first. make sure that the room she will be in afterwards is warm because she can get a chill if she doesn't dry quickly. use a cat safe shampoo and nothing else. i notice that someone has already mentioned the wipes from petsmart they do work but you need to use them most days and learn to brush her daily again she should groom afterwards. good luck hope this information helps

Cats usually clean themselves, if you have no tub, try the sink if it's big enough Brush her regularly & try just giving a sponge bath, with a wet face-cloth. Giving her a bath will be difficult, they don't like baths. Either way it wuoldn't be easy. Good Luck.

Take a really knubby face cloth such as terry cloth & wash it in warm water.
Take your cat, and wrap her in a towel so she can't "escape" from you. Proceed to rub her firmly not too hard down with the cloth.
From the top of her head to the ends of her feet & her tail.
Do this over & over again every night & if you can in the morning.
It should teach her that this is what she is supposed to do--we used to do this on the farm where I grew up if the animals had lost their mom.

I would bath her in the bathroom sink because the shower may freak her out. because you going to have to get her use to taking a bath.
