This guy I am talking to knew I was mad at him and when he saw me today he wouldnt approach me unless he had a couple of friends with him. Im not the type to be truly mean when Im mad I just give him the silent treatment. We are both 16 and in highschool.
Why is it that he wont come to me when Im emotional by himself?

youre silent cuz you dont know how to express yourself calmly perhaps at the time you get mad. its not a bad thing actually.
it's actually better you walk away calmly from anger than act on it. when you find the right words you go have a talk with him. why wont he go to you? he's probably the same way. peace

It could be a sense of security. He feels comfortable with his friends around.
Or, it could be that he WANTED to approach you but couldn't get away from his friends for long enough to talk to you, since it'd probably be heavy stuff.
