Everyone makes mistakes. Some mistakes are really bad. There are so many reasons why mistakes are made. If someone truly feels bad for the things they have done wrong, and would never do them again, why not forgive? I have thought alot about the heaven hell thing. I don't think there is a hell. I think if heaven is true, pure, unbelievable happiness and love--I do think heaven is this--then there could possibly be no hell. How could there be total love if even one soul is suffering? Anyway, this is what I think. Take care.

Sadly I used to continually commit this one sin, and asked God to forgive me every time I came to my senses. But it didn't change me a bit. I loved the sin like a pig loves the mud pen. It's not until God opened my eyes on what a sinful pervert I was. It is not until God shows the way through His Spirit and you will see the physical change in him and his behavior. It does take a lot of praying with diligence and faith. If a person only regretted one or two mistakes among many, that person is not transformed yet. Also, I believe that God judges different sins very differently. he may have his own standard, but people often make wrong conclusions on which sin is bigger. Not that murder is a big sin, but there are other sins on that same level, like hatred toward a close person. Yet God is merciful if he sees a person totolly turn away from the previous way of living, not just regrets he done something wrong

You are talking about two different things. Murder is a sin. The bible says that anything we confess to God is forgiveable through His son. That means, Jesus Christ died on a cross for all our sins, past, present and future. Therefore, a person who murders, if he repents of that sin, calls on the name of Jesus Christ, and accepts Jesus as savior, yes he is saved and yes he is forgiven.
Second point. Once saved, that does not mean a person will never sin again. A saved person desires to live a Godly life. Does that mean if a saved person sins, they can be forgiven? Of course! It also means that we don't get up in the morning saying "how can I sin today so that I can then turn around and ask forgiveness for it". God knows the difference between a heart that desires to follow His son...and sometimes fails...and a heart that tries to take advantage of the grace and mercy of God. The second example is not the heart of a born again believer in Jesus.

" Faith commeth by hearing, hearing by the word of God ", Romans 10:17..... God is the only one that can forgive sins , not a priest , a priest is a sinner just like everyone in this whole world .Romans 6:23 " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God ". Your friend needs to hear the word of God to be saved. To get in to heaven one must be " Born again " John 3:3... He needs to hear the word of God and repent of his sins , ask God for mercy and accept Jesus as his Savior and try to live the life of Jesus would want him to live the best he can.

It's not really up to us to decide. We are only human with human frailty. We can't fully understand the awsome power of HIS love. I don't think a simple "opps, sorry" would do, I think God knows and sees into the heart of everyone.
I can't say who will go to hell, I am not God.
But it's not a matter of simply saying sorry. And I do believe that a person who has murdered still has a chance. Am I right? We'll know when we die.

First, they do not have to confess to a priest, only God can forgive them....
And secondly do not look upon men through your eyes, u must stop and look at their lives through Heaven's eyes. God has forgiven all their sins, and you should too. God does not remeber a single sin that they have commited once they have asked for forgivness. Look at them through God's eyes, not by the human standards....

Take Jeffrey Dahmer, for example. He murdered so many people, but he was born again before he died, or so he claims. I can't answer for this, but the bottom line is that he asked God to forgive him and was baptized and accepted the plan of salvation that God offers people. Therefore who are we to judge? It is God's decision in the end! He knows if you were sincere in your heart.

The murderer must give up his own life to satisfy Justis if he ever hopes to be forgiven. His voluntary submission to the law of the land will go far to show his repentance and his willingness to make amends.

True repentance is changing your whole attitude not just one act. And God is willing to forgive but it isn't a license to go out and keep sinning but to turn to Him and Live for Him.

A murderer can be forgiven if He repents and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Jesus came to earth for this purpose.
