yep, thats your daughter talking! - it is a slow and gradual process - only you can be guided by where your daughter is in her progress - she sounds perfectly normal to me.. so long as she is happy and you chatter to her, tell her what you are doing etc. and invite other lil' ones over to play - don't rush these precious years away with worrying if she is up to speed with her developement too much - as long as she and you are happy - you have her checked out regularly as needed with the doctor/health visitor - just have fun.
lots of luck

Ah! someone w/ the same problems I had. My son was the EXACT same way. I chalked it up to me talking for him. I was so in sync w/ my son that he didn't need to use words. I knew what he wanted. When he turned three almost over night he began talking in full sentences. I would assume if you MAKE him use his words he will get frustrated w/ it and start using. I started saying "Jaryn, you need to use your words. I'm not sure what you want, use your words." And I wouldn't get him things unless he would use his words. He finally broke and now I can't get him to shut up! Good luck :) He is now almost 4.

every child is different. just try to work with her all you can.
Suggestions I've heard are, if they want something by pointing at it, try not to give it to them right away, try to get them to say the word... Other than that don't worry she'll catch on in her own time.
