YES ....since you bought a freaking gun, why don't you just shoot yourself in the head with it instead?!
You are certainly not qualified to be a tattoo artist!!!
I TOTALLY LOSE PATIENCE WITH ID 10 T's HERE!!!
Edit notes to down the line here: Stop posting about things you are clueless about - IT IS NOT a gun, it IS a machine and it is run by a POWER SUPPLY.

Yes if you charge it is 100% illegal and if they come back at you for a botched job or infection. And it isn't moraly correct for you to tattoo yourself. You must have a license to tattoo at all and it takes a lot of practice, time, and working under a tattoo artist. You should not have bought a tattoo "gun" (althought I beleive they are called machines) for personal use in the first place, it is not safe by any means since you aren't trained. If you are trained then you should know the laws. Which indicates you aren't. Get your money back befor you make a mistake that will last for life.

You're not a professional.
And anyone who gets tattooed by you is dumb.
If one of those tattoos gets infected, or the person decides they don't like the botch job you did, then yeah. You'll be in some SERIOUS legal trouble, because you aren't a licensed/trained tattoo artist.
Don't do it. Just because you own a gun doesn't mean you're capable of proper use. If you're genuinely interesting in tattoo, try becoming an apprentice.

I do not know about it from a legal standpoint, but if you are not an experienced tattoo artist, don't do it. Tattoo artists are skilled in what they do. It's not like drawing on a piece of paper. Do you want to be the person that gives someone an ugly tattoo they have to live with forever?

first of all like ive said before its not a gun.guns kill people not tattoos.its called a machine.second its only illegal if you start giving people infections and/or diseases.they just arrested a bunch of people around here for giving tattoos in their home because alot of people got hepatitis.i would stick to scratching on yourself at least till you have a few years under your belt and know how to properly sterilize!!

It is only illegal if you get caught. Bear in mind that you are dealing in things like Hep B, HIV, etc!!!!! That is a lawsuit and a half.
Ask yourself this: ''I have pulled out a tooth with pliers and now a friend wants me to do the same for them...Is this illegal?''
Of course the tattoo police won't be seeking you out but it sounds like you are fairly new to this...I could be wrong, but you need to read up about CROSS CONTAMINATION before you go any further.

Do you have an autoclave? Correct blood-borne pathogen procedures? Insurance? A sterile environment? Fresh, sterile needles for everyone? Knowledge on how to tattoo correctly?
Last thing the world needs now is another basement scratcher. You're just looking to spread some horrid disease through your friend pool...

Depending on the state you live in, it's most likely illegal, due to the fact that you are tatting in unsanitary conditions. And what experience do you have? I hate to be the party pooper, but doing that without any experience, out of your home, just for *hits and giggles is an insult to skilled artists.

I don't know if it's illegal or not, but if I were you I would be wary of potential legal trouble anyway. If you're just learning to use the tattoo gun, what happens if you accidentally mess up on someone's tattoo and they try to sue you? Or if the person gets an infection and then tries to sue you? Either develop one hell of a legally binding waiver for these people to sign or just tell them, "no."

Depending on which country/state you live in, yes, it may well be illegal. There is a reason that tattoo parlours have their licenses stuck up on the wall.

It is LEGAL but it is ILLEGAL to start a shop and have people pay you to get tattoos. I would not do it because you are not a certified tattoo artist and if you do something wrong OOPS! lawsuit coming your way!
