that murderers will or will not be forgiven? What if it was murder in anger of the moment? For ex., if the person was to hurt the other person in anger and annoyance and they were trying to kill the person since they were so caught up in thier anger but regretted it afterwards when they were in their normal temper again?

Just wondering what will happen to peole like jeffrey dhamer?

And I'd like what it says in the Bible or any other religious book not what you think.

It does not say in the bible that any sin will or will not be forgiven. It gives some general statements about what kind of people will go to heaven and what kind won't, but it doesn't give any specific checklist.

There's no way to know what happened to the soul of Jeffrey Dahmer. And it should not matter... if you believe God's judgement is perfect, than whatever he decided is correct; if you don't, then Christianity is probably not a good religion for you.

Let's just say you did murder someone out of anger.Although, through anger or not, it's still a sin. But if you truly regret what you did, and you ask God for forgiveness, the Bible says that He will forget the sin and remember it no more. He will forgive you if you ask Him to. That's how great God's love truly is!

It does not say that. Anyone can repent. By repent I mean really change, Biblical repentance, not just saying you are sorry in hopes of getting out of jail. Those who repent and turn to God will go to heaven, even murderers. But, God is not stupid-He knows the truth.

This verse speaks of those who "live' this way.

8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Rev 21:8 (NIV)

The Bible teaches that forgiveness is based on God's unmerited favor towards those who trust in him. According to the Bible, there is no one who is righteous (see Romans 3). We have all sinned and deserve to go to hell. However, Jesus came into the world and lived a sinless life in order to die on behalf of all who would believe in him. Thus, one's past sins are not the issue. This is a demonstration of God's mercy.

Now, this doesn't mean that a Christian can just live a depraved life since his salvation is independent of whatever he or she has done. Rather, a person who turns and puts his faith in Jesus has a heart that has been changed. He turns from his sins and begins to live in ways that reflect God's character. If someone fails to perservere in the Christian faith, it evidences the fact that their faith was never authentic.

I hope this is helpful. Blessings!

The Apostle Paul was a murderer BEFORE he came to know Jehovah. He TRULY wanted forgiveness & God granted him it. There are people who have NO remorse like Hitler, Stalin, *Bush* :) etc. who I'm pretty sure will not be resurected. Anything can be forgiven except blaspheming the Holy Spirit. We can't read God's mind but we can read his words from the Bible. Talk to me.

The Bible says all sin can be forgiven, except the sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. But forgiveness first requires genuine repentance.

Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 3:19 - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 5:31 - Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

It says in the Bible that murders WILL be forgiven as long as they ask for forgiveness with sincerity. If they just ask for forgiveness to get out of hell, well then the answer is no. But you can be Hitler and still go to heaven as long as you ask for forgiveness with sincerity.

Well, since the Bible really doesn't refer to Jeffrey Dahmer, I'll need to just tell you what I think.

Murderers can be forgiven. They can go to heaven. But they must receive Christ as their Lord and Savior and confess their sins with a true heart.
