I like this guy, BUT he lives ALL the way in buffalo, new york. My friends say i should forget about him, and find another guy where I live... Should I try and forget about them like my friends say or just keep my hopes up??!!

My experience is that long distance relationships are TOUGH! I was engaged to a guy who lived over 700 miles away. It's a lot better to have someone closer to you that you can see and just hang out with. It's also really easy to get jealous and suspect that the other person isn't really being quite as faithful as they would have you think. (even if that isn't the case.) In the end though, it's up to you two.
If you do, in fact, trust your friends then listen to them too! It's easier to see the truth in things when you're on the outside. Good luck, girlie!!! :D

well i moved all the way to ga from ca and i would never forget about any of my friends from cali i say keep ur hopes up u never know where u might go

keep the guy in buffalo as a friend and find someone local don't settle down with one guy. .go on dates with several guys and enjoy "dating" learn about your self through the "art" of dating.

long distance relationships are tough. unless you are both mature, understanding and very much in-love with each other, it won't work. if you're still young, then just let it go for now... if you're meant to be together, it'll happen in its own time. otherwise, there's no point punishing yourself for a relationship that will eat up your time and energy... you're supposed to experience the fun of being with someone, not endure the work of being close to someone who isn't even physically present.
