I have just got a male Bengal Eagle Owl and I would really like a good name. He will be doing falconry displays, School Visits and handling sessions.
My partner want's to call him Gonk. I thought about Monster. His predecesor was called Fugly and we have a European called Midnight.
Does anyone have any better ideas? anyone know any hindi words or anything that would make a nice name? and please, no olly the owl, benny the bengal ect, we would like something origional.

The colour of the owl is kinda blond with dark brown / black markings, we have photo's of a similar bird on.

Thanks guys. Fugly was a cracking bird. he was the hardest working bird on the team and everyone loved him to bits.
I would quite like a name with a story behind it to tell the kids, maybee something a bit funny, cos owls are quite funny and a bit thick. Fugly had a story to his name but it's got too bad a swear word in it to be published here.

What about Shir-Khan? That was the name of the bengal tiger in the movie/book "The jungle book" by Rudyard Kipling. I know, a tiger cannot be compared to an owl but I think it's funny! And original! Greetings from Germany!

Wow. He is majestic and very commanding. I would call him Thor. What does he invoke in you? Look at that wonderful bird. You may also consider a name children can say or relate too. Have a hoot of a time. (I had to throw that in)
