what precautions should i take?

i want to pierce my nose myself. well accually, my best friend whom i trust alot is going to help me. what stuff should i do to get ready? and should i use a needle, like the ones used for sewing, or should i use a safety pin? should i use alcohol or peroxide. i really need help now. cause i wanna do it this weekend or next weekend. and PLEASE no one say, you should go to a professional, cause my mom wont let me get it done.

Go a head and do it the way you described. Get an infection, have a big nasty scar. Use tools that are filthy. Use 'needles' that aren't sharp. Use poor quality jewelry. Use chemicals which are overly harsh and don't do much to disinfect anything. Have fun.

Just don't come posting here when it all goes wrong and you need advice on how to fix it and expect us to help.

Maybe you should act like an adult (since you want a piercing, and they're for adults) and try talking to your mom, show her that you've done some actual research (make sure you really do this) and explain to her why you want one without yelling, screaming or getting upset. Tell her you will pay for it, take care of it, and want to get it done safely, but in order to do that, you need her permission.

If your friend was really a friend, she would take you to a professional piercer to get it done.

Your mother won't let you get it done, then its the most disrespectful thing EVER to go behind her back and have a friend do it. She'll find out no matter who you have do the piercing and its not like you can hide this from her.

What you are doing is unsafe and very dangerous. You don't know what tools to use, you don't know how to clean it, you don't know where to pierce the nose or how so you don't hurt yourself. This is going to be a disaster. Please, don't do it.

if your mom doesn't want you to get it done, then what's the difference between having a professional or ur friend do it? you are not following her "rule" anyway. what you're about to do is dangerous... you might get infected and all, and it will hurt a lot. but if you insist, just a tip: make sure everything that you'll be using is clean-clean-clean...

Seriously, how about a stick-on type of jewel. I couldn't tell you about piercing it yourself as the risk of infection is way too high.

Uh....HELLO!!! Not a good idea!! There are many nerves, ect in your face, that you could nick and it is unsafe and unsterile, and a BAD idea. Go to a professional.

Whatever needle you use, make sure its sterile. To do this light it with a lighter until it glows orange and wala its sterile.

use a small self piercing ear ring num it with ice and make sure u clean it with alcohol
