Well, in my state you have to be 18, but you can be younger if you bring a parent or a gaurdian. Be aware of what you are getting...when you are 90, the cute little butterfly you got could turn into a paradactyl! Tattoos are forever, so make sure it's meaningful to you and you get it somewhere that can be covered up. Sometimes tattoos don't look all that great in far away pictures (such as prom pictures).

18. You need to bring proof of your age to the tattoo parlor too. In Nevada you can be 16 but need proof of residence and at least one parent and proof of age. And if you're under 18 you can't get one if you bring a parent. I know several people said you can. I tried it when I was 16, you can't. Both my parents came with me but the guy said I can't get one unless I lived in Nevada or until I was 18.

Don't even get a tatoo because when you get old your skin will wrinkle so does your tattoo. Also it is really hurt to take the tatoo out!

If you feel that you should get a tattoo, you are not old enough to get one.

word of advice, IF you get one get it in a spot that can be covered up. So when you go for a job you can hide it. Some places won't even hire you if you have a visable tat.

I have 2 tats and both can be covered up easily. My bf has like 4 and can be covered up but when he wears a wife beater you can see them and when he wares shorts you can see them.
