teaching language is a very hard thing, but i would suggest to teach it verbal for a about a month, don't show her any alphabet or writng, it will confuse her. You can teach her some words as greeting, and things at home, couple phrases, and try to talk to her in your language pretending you don't understand English. Gestures help a lot. After she will recognize at least 15 phrases and about 50 words, you can start with alphabet and writng.

I speak arabic and the one thing I know for sure is that with all the dialects around the world, the best way to learn the language is through a self teaching computer program such as 'Rosetta Stone'. It teaches the language as native speakers learn it- with pictures and symbols. THen you can help her on the side teaching her common phrases and greetings so that she can gain some confidents in the language using it with people like yourself

I might endorse that you simply get a overseas au pair or aid a couple of times per week to come back in and shield your youngster for an hour or so and simply speak to them of their local language. It might be *a lot* bigger than you educating your youngster. Children have a tendency to spot a language with an grownup; in the event you hold replacing the youngster gets burdened. However if the youngster is aware of that they consistently have got to talk German or Swedish or something with a unique man or woman they're going to transfer over to the language with that man or woman no main issue.

Start with the alphabet.
Then teach phrases phonetically.
Then have her find a book she knows very well in English (even if it's a children's book) and have her get one in Arabic.
(I did that in Norway learning Norwegian...I was learning the plays I performed phonetically and then I bought The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in Norwegian because I know it very well in English.)

Tell her to buy a language course and help her practice it. But tell her to get the arabic of a specific country, I still remember being laughed at in Cairo for speaking generic arabic. (I was asked if I spoke arabic and I said "Naam, qalilan" instead of "Shway" and boy did they laugh at me!)
