An undergraduate student is someone in college. At that point he probably only has a high school diploma or a GED.

A graduate student is someone studying in graduates school. At that point he probably has a bachelor's degree from his college.

You do not need to be a graduate student to have a degree. You can be a college graduate and never go on to further your education in graduates school and still be considered a person who has a degree.

A graduate student is someone who is currently in graduate school (which requires some sort of a bachelor's degree).

An undergraduate student is one who is going to school to earn a Bachelor's Degree (it is possible that this person already has Bachelor's Degree and is trying to get another one).

Someone who graduated and has a degree, but is no longer going to school is neither a undergraduate student, nor a graduate student.

They are graduates. If people are studying for their first degree they are undergraduates, if they have a degree and are studying for another degree such as an MSc or PhD they are a postgraduate student.

They are known as a graduate. There's no real special name for people who hold undergrad degrees. Even with grad degrees, only those with doctorates can be entitled to the title of "doctor." Not all who have a doctorate even call themselves "Dr."

You usually just add the letters standing for their degree at the end of their name (i.e John Smith, B.A.) unless they have a doctorate degree, in which case it would be Dr. John Smith.
