when I turn on my computer and then click onto Internet explorer it now takes about 2 minutes (it used to come on straight away) for Internet explorer to come on and then sometimes when it does come on there is an engine error. My computer is about 5 months old and is an hp windows xp. Thank you to all who reply.

I have defragged something, and when I go to the C drive to defrag it I haven't enough space (I need 15% and only have 10%) I am a novice on computers so please explain fully. Thank you.

Might be down to your service provider and their limited bandwidth. The internet will slow down the more people that are on it. Have you not noticed that there is a marked change in page access at 2 and 3 in the morning compared to teatime and through to about 10 11pm?

Have you tried defragmenting hard drive.
Don't worry about your c drive that sound like your partioned drive which is only used for system restore .Also try clearing out your temp internet files.This may help

Go to your control panel and click on performance and maitenence ,then click free space on hard disk , then click boot c, you may have to wait a couple of mins ,then go to temporary internet files and delete them all trust me it wont harm your computer and it worked for mexx

hi if this is a problen you got just for 3-5 days do a systemrestore.

start->programs>aceesories-systemtools>systemrestore.
