Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc (look for "Garden Lights" as they are generally less expensive than "wedding" lights but are not "christmas" lights which can be very hard to find out of season (and alot of couples dont want the "icicle" look)

My local dollar store has white sets in 35, 50 and 75 and they also had multi colors in the larger sets and many single colors such as red, blue, aquamarine, purple, etc in the 35 light strands not I realize thats not a huge strand or lights but at $1.00 its alot better than 150 for $5.95 like hobby lobby, micheals, walmart and some of these other places charge.

I am having the same problem. Walmart didnt have anything that I could find and neither did orientaltrading.com. They had some little laterns, but not many. No christmas lights either. No luck yet. I know Ikea has really cheap laterns of all different sizes, but I can't find the white lights. I know they are also call them fairy lights, but still no luck there either. hmmmm.

Call all of your friends...everyone has scads of them Or you can call the local Lindsey Rental and rent them. They carry lots of wedding things and renting should be cheaper than purchasing.

Walmart, although I think in the spring they're referred to as "decorative garden lights".
