This is not something you can handle on your own.
You need to talk to an adult who will take action.
Talk to your mom and dad, a school counselor or even your friends parents. They may not be as bad as your friend says. She may have a "terrible relationship" with them because she is not being honest with them.
You have a responsibility to let an adult know ASAP. Get off the computer right now and call an adult who can help.
Your friend might be mad but she is obviously not thinking clearly right now.
Do the right thing and tell an adult who can help

If you are truly her best friend, you MUST tell her parents what is going on. You may believe that they don't get along well, but they probably love her more that you both realize. Only they can make sure she gets the help she needs, even if it is against her will. If you lose her friendship because of this, so be it. Could you live with yourself if you did not do this and then she winds up dead? Do it NOW!

Encourage her to talk to a counselor. Here are some websites if they might help. God bless you & her.
National Teen Emergency Hotline: 1-800-448-3000
24 Hour Crisis Hotline, 1 (800) 329-7227* (This one is the best. They have helped me a few times)

Have you talked to your MOM? Maybe she can help you help her. If not maybe you and your friend can go to counseling together. Sometimes people want to go and get help but are afraid to go alone. So maybe go with her the first few times just to get her started. Then he/she can take it from there. Sounds like your friend really needs help. My heart goes to both of you. what ever you decide don't wait to long I've been in the same situation and once your there its hard to get out of unless help is there. Have you suggested a teen help hot line? Anyone there can help. That's what they train for.. Take care and please don't wait to long.....

Bring this problem to the attention of your guidance counselor or school psychologist at school. They will provide the necessary connections to the support she needs.

Another avenue is to look for mental health agencies in your local phone book and call.

Good luck

There is a kids helpline, type it into google or yahoo and it should pop up. I once knew a friend who didn't eat a lot, try to get her to at least drink ENSURE. It's a supplement with different flavours. Also, try to surround her with positive friends, I don't know how religious you are, but I know church groups are always willing to be there for you. Any church I'm sure would be happy to help. Good luck

properly theres 2 techniques of seeing this, they might have made a mistake or you have got it would desire to be tommorow ? or th day after besides the fact that they might properly be aggravated with you and in line with possibility they tried to leave you on the cinema on my own, yet once you comprehend your friends they wouldnt do this? or might they? the two way save attempting to call them, and in the event that they left you intentionally locate out whats incorrect and why they did that, dont initiate a combat, initiate a communication.

tell a teacher, guidance counselor, or other licensed professional therapist, especially about the cutting part. It is a sign of a serious illness.
