I've been experiencing tingling in my hands and feet and constant nausea. Occassionally, I have had little attacks where the nausea is extreme, I get dizzy, hot, and just feel horrible. When they pass, I'm tired and feel outta commission for hours.
One doc thought it was gastritis, so I'm waiting for an endoscopy and colonoscopy, but the likelihood of gastritis is slim, since I haven't responded to a ton of medications that are suppose to treat it.
Anyway, I was prescribed Apo-amitriptyline under a hypothesis that I'm not getting rest, when I sleep, which may be causing a misfiring in my brain. Does this make sense to anyone?? How would this medication help?? From what I can glean, this medication is a mild anti-depresant typically used to treat pain. But, the doc assures me, I don't have anxiety or depression. So, I don't get it??
I am also waiting to see a neurologist in the event that these symptoms are related to seizure/epilepsy

I don't have any pain, per se, so not sure how this pain relieving medication can help the symptomology I've been experiencing.
Thanx SOOO much for your answers thus far...
