There is a guy that is the best looking person I have ever seen up close. I want to approach him. The only problem is sometimes he seems interested and others he does not. We have been e-mailing back and forth some. He sent me a message at the beginning of the week just to say hi and for me to have a great week. But then when he sees me at the gym in person he won't say anything. What do I do? He always looks at me and makes eye contact in a room full of people. When I catch him looking at me, he just looks away. We are adults so this feels like a kiddie game to me.

It may seem like a kiddie game to you, but I think he is just shy, you may have to be the one, to pull him out, and make the first move, and once he is comfortable with you, then he will open up, so the next time that you see him at the gym, ask him out to get a bite to eat.

He's probably shy. When you're online, people will say things they never normally say because they know they don't have to look you in the eye, or hear your voice. Maybe he's speaking the truth, but he's a little afraid to talk to you. Maybe he's afraid you don't feel the same way, so the next time you see him why don't you say hi to him! Maybe that little gesture will help you guys progress to having conversations and even more!

Ok, i've been in the same situation. The problem is he may be confusedm, or has'nt know his true feelings. I think that you should talk to him, and ignore the situation temporarily (act normally, as if, nothing ever happend). Later on, you should talk about it, and bring the subject indirectly. He won't be mad, or ignore you, because you had already got to know him better, or befriended him more. See if it works ^_^.

Sounds like he just wants you as a down low chick. Like behind close doors he'll take you, but in public he won't. I would e-mail him or just even talk to him and tell how you feel. Tell him you would like to talk to him more often or even go out to dinner with each other. It doesn't hurt to try.
