all the contradictions in the bible i used to have were based on my incorrect assumptions.
the source of these incorrect assumptions was my upbringing in the lutheran church, where, just as many traditional churches, pagan traditions and practices had been introduced over the centuries. By leaving these false beliefs, the non-contadictory truth of the bible became clear.
Bible 'contradictions', are a result of false assumptions and teachings adopted from paganism.

My fav contradiction is the one regarding Judas. In one version, he throws the money back at the Priests inside the Temple and then hangs himself. In another version, he uses the money to buy a plot of land, then falls and "bursts asunder".
Ive heard all the apologists attempt to explain the difference between the two differing versions of DEATH, but not one has ever attempted to explain how Judas could buy a plot of land with money he had throw back at priests previously. Other than to lie and claim that the passsage "meant" that the priests actually bought the land after Judas was dead. But thats not what the word of God says. It says Judas bought it. There is no need to interpret that which is clear - Judas threw the money back to the priests, or he used it himself.
Which is it?
The best part is, when faced with an unanswerable contradiction such as this, they revert back to "The details dont matter - what is important its the overall story. Jesus died for you." TWATEVER!

the subject with analyzing the Bible is that it became written in the process one in each of those super quantity of time. in case you check out dated articles of something vs. cutting-side-day ones it is going to look to have contradictions. the place in certainty they're misunderstandings many times. working example, your food regulations. It never says "pass gorge your self in beef" or something like that, it only says that those weren't meant to be the concentration of Moses regulations. In those circumstances, the followers of Moses regulation used it as a catalogue. This became never the intentions of those rules, they have been meant to steer you right into a greater advantageous existence. somebody living in a cave can save on with all and sundry of Moses regulations, yet did they actually stay a marvelous existence? the different concern with it written in the process history is that circumstances substitute. while the old testomony became created, it became at a time of Pagan gods and goddesses. all and sundry had many, many gods and all of them have been very effective. What faith might seize on in that kind of world with a god it incredibly is basically a hippie in that factor? So the portrayal of the God became different. He never replaced, nor did he contradict his old messages with the hot testomony, the view of Him did. the different concern with analyzing the Bible is you exceptionally lots would desire to study it contextually. in case you do no longer interior the 1st e book of the Bible, first few verses even you have "contradictions." The creation thoughts (sure thoughts there are 2 of them) selection from one yet another. it incredibly is by technique of human errors, and that actuality that small info at the same time with that don't rely. Now as you study the Bible, and make new discoveries that project you right it incredibly is a few thing to undergo in concepts: in case you extremely have confidence in God then you comprehend which you weren't created completely. you comprehend that God is prepared to forgive your sins while you're wanting them forgiven, to boot as incredibly sorry. those small info interior the Bible are no longer the factor of the religion. The Bible is inerrant and consequently HAS NO errors in what's certainly important. i'm hoping this permits

One thing that doesn't make sense is that all the engineers in the world today can't make a boat the size of Noah's ark that will float.
As for contradictions my favorite is when Jesus says he has come to uphold the law or something to that affect and Paul in his letters says the law does not matter.

I think the best contradiction in the bible is the first.
Genesis chapter one is the Hebrew creation story. God creates birds and fish, land animals, and people, in that order.
Genesis chapter two is the story of Eden, in which God creates men, then animals, then women.
That's a problem.

Oh my... just one? Okay, let's start at the beginning... Matthew Chapter 1 Verse 1: we start the geneology of Jesus...
Verse 17 (as memory serves - I do not have a bible to verify) "There are 14 generations from Abraham to David, 14 generations from David to the carrying away of Babylonia and 14 generations from the carrying away of Babylonia to the Christ. 14+14+14=42 But if you count them... 41. That includes Jesus and even Joseph who might not even be considered part of the lineage but an adopted father. 41 does not equal 42. Now go to Luke. Chapter 3 I believe, the generology from Jesus all the way back to Adam... but don't go back to Adam... just go back to Abraham, so that you have a lineage from Abraham to Jesus again as in Matthew. Now count them. 56. 41 does not equal 42 which does not equal 56. Ever. No really.

There's plenty. But even if you do find some, someone will back it up with semi-coherent sentences that it's just a clever metaphor, or, the people back then had different uses for particular words, or... so on and so forth. ;P
One that always boggled me, was the 'thou shalt not kill' commandment. :\ And then throughout the Bible, it seems as if God is instructing particular people to kill others if they don't obey, are unruly, etc.

Any omnipotent God needing a son to sacrifice in order to forgive anyone is no better than running around the barn a thousand times before going inside. It's unnecessary, illogical, and ridiculous.
