Beer, somewhat. Spirits, yes. You're always supposed to drink plenty of water during a night (or day) of heavy drinking. The dehydration is what causes the hangover.

Yes! As a rule, you should drink 8 oz of water for every alcoholic beverage you consume. This will also help to reduce the symptoms of a hangover, since dehydration is the main culprit.

Have fun!

Remember if you drink........DON'T DRIVE!!!

Yes and that's partially why you feel so bad the next morning. Drink lots of water and keep some beside your bed to drink when you wake up. Works every time.

Alcohol is a diuretic, which will make you urinate and cause dehydration.

"Diuretic Effect: Alcohol is a diuretic that blocks vasopressin (Anti-Diuretic Hormone) from regulating the osmotic gradient of the blood, therefore it is not the overall amount of fluids, but the total alcohol content that affects urination frequency (i.e. one pint of ale will make you piss as much as a good-sized shot of hard alcohol). "

Yep, after a night of heavy lifting, drink at least 3 tall glasses of water before you go to sleep and your hangover will be much less.

Yes. That's why they say to drink lots of water before you go to bed or when you are done drinking. Because you have lost a lot while you are drinking.
