Each individual church of Scientology is seperately incorporated and governed by it's own board of directors.
The officers and directors also form the ecclesiastical management of the church and are fully responsible for ministering services to their parishoners.
Church of Scientology International (CSI), the mother church of the Scientolgy religion, is headquartered in Los Angeles. CSI oversees the ecclesiatical activities of all Scientology churches, organisations and groups throughout the world, and sees that the individual cbhurches receive guidance in their ministries. CSI also provides the broad planning and direction needed to support the Church's international growth.

For more detailed information read Chapter 20 " Structure of Scientology Churches" in the book " What is Scientology" , any Scientology church will provide this reference if you contact them.

This is one crazy religion! I had a firsthand experience with it several years ago. I had read the book, "Dianetics", and one day I filled out a personality questionnaire that I found in a store. Then I had to take it to the nearest Scientology church to have it analyzed. Then they basically psychoanalyze you and tell you why you're so messed up. They tell you it's these things inside you (can't remember what they call them anymore) that need to be released. Then I start taking these classes about problem-solving, which uses little props like blocks and sticks to represent people and events in your life; then you have to move on to even more expensive classes. Then you decide to go to their "worship" service, which is basically chanting the same words and phrases over and over again until you almost pass out from hyperventilation. After that, I never went back.

They have all of these fronts posing as different things to get you in the door. Confusing corporate structures to hide from the IRS. All kinds of crap.
