I'd like to know if it matters what type of sunblock darker skinned people use? I have a great summer job to earn extra money, but it requires me to be out in the sun for several hours. Last season, I got baked. I've never used sunblock before. Please help me.

The brand you use does not matter but you will want to use at least an SPF-15 if you are darker skinned. If you are lighter skinned, use an SPF-30. Of course, even having darker skin you can use the SPF-30 for greater protection...just don't use less than SPF-15. It is important to use sunblock because your skin color does not prevent you from getting skin cancers. I prefer the new spray on (less mess) or the oil-free by Coppertone - it really is not greasy or slimy! Oh, and don't forget to protect your face too! Just find one you like based on how it makes you skin feel, fragrance, etc. Congrats on your summer job!
