If you like him! But keep in mind sometimes dating your best friend can ruin the relationship. But sometimes it makes it stronger. If you're confident that if you break up that you two can still be good friends than i would go for it. Unless you get into a fight && you hate eachother then you dont have to be friends [=. But i think you get what i mean.

Well, if you are thinking of a reason to say yes... Then I would say no.
Also, he's been friends with you since 4th grade and he's never made a move on you?
Not only do you need to consider your own feelings, you need to consider his.
No one should be in a relationship because it is easy, convienent, because they are lonely or just because their friends are in relationships.
Of course, people should not be more than friends if they were not friends to start with, but if you liked him more than a friend, you would have jumped at the chance to be more...
So don't go further with this guy just because he asked. Just because you've known each other since 4th grade.
Now, the only other reason you might not have jumped at him is that he's been in the friend category for so long that it weirded you out.
So, I don't know your heart. I don't know his heart. Just don't do something because you feel pressured or desperate.

OMG if i was in your shoes i would answer yes in a heartbeat...obviously if you are friends you get along well and don't play the game of what if it does not work out...you'lll never know unless you go for it. If your friendship is strong than it wont matter...but i say go for it...it may make you the happiest you've ever been.

Only if you're ready..If you don't feel as if you want to be with him, then let him know. Be carefull that if you say yes, that you realize(God forbid) you two break up, your friendship might not be the best afterwards...Good luck~

It depends on how you feel about him. Some of the best relationships start with just being friends. You're obviously comfortable with one another, so I guess it's up to you.

only if you want to. i had the same sort of problem and i wasnt sure so i said yes. that was a big mistake. i didnt like the changes and we have never really got back to being friends
so...
only say yes if your sure, if your not sure tell him so, if he really likes you he willl wait for your answer
