Imagine you got hit by a car and could be saved only by a special operation. The operation would give you a normal, happy life, but would unfortunately cause you fifteen minutes of terrible, stabbing pain every morning when you awoke. Would you want to have the operation?

Hmmmm...Terrible stabbing pain. That is the upside right? Heck a little more pain in the morning is no biggie. It would remind me of my good fortune to be alive. I would embrace the pain and follow it with prayer of thanks and praise to be alive. So that is a big resounding YES from me.

I would endure the pain; however, the person who said "getting old" causes pain...that's not true. If you are experiencing pain, no matter what age, you should speak to your doctor. Growing old does not mean we become deaf, blind, demented, and full of pain. You have the right in the Patient Bill of Rights in the USA to be out of pain. In fact, we are looking at pain as the 5th vital sign. :)

Absolutely!! I have had ongoing, multiple physical medical issues for a long time and I can tell you that I would give anything to be well. I have had surgeries, endured tons of physical pain, as well as emotional pain, and let me tell ya, ongoing, unceasing emotional pain is worse than any brief episode of physical pain you can imagine...
