I've been wanting to get a tattoo for awhile now, just something small and simple...nothing too big or crazy. I want it on my lower stomach to the right side, but I've been told if you get one there and you have a baby it will get streched out. I've also hear that if you get it in a certain place on your tummy it will be okey. Does anyone know for sure if being pregnant will effect the tattoo if in that spot? At some point i do plan to have kids and i don't want it to effect my tattoo.

I really don't suggest getting it on your tummy if you plan on having children of your own. Some women are lucky enough to not have baggy tummy syndrome after delivering. Those are more than likely few and far between.(OH HOW WE HATE THEM! Just kidding. I'm just incredibly jealous! ;) cuz I happen to have baggy tummy syndrome.)

Maybe instead get it on your hip or upper thigh? I know those areas at least on ME weren't affected by my pregnancies.
Take care!

I believe that any skin on your stomach will stretch to a certain degree during pregnancy. Even if it doesn't, a stretch mark may extend into the skin and ruin your tattoo. While I wouldn't advise getting one there, you may decide to.

Why not get one on your hip instead? Or rib cage - I think rib cage tattoos look super fantastic.

The best place to get a tattoo is a tattoo parlor. Definitely. The ones you get at Boomers Secondhand Cigar Shop and Poultry Farm just aren't as good.

I would suggest on your shoulder or ankle for a first-timer.
