Ford Fusion.
Not too expensive. Cheaper than Accord, Camry, and Passat, which are other good choices
Reliable. It's got better reliability than the (gasp) Toyota Camry!
Something for a family. It's got space galore. I mean, it doesn't seat 7 or anything, but three kids will fit in the back easily.
