Immigration!?!?

Y does everybody knock illegal immigration!?!? I understand were not suppose to be here,i say we,cause i was once here illegal....i remember crossing the border at the age of 5 with my parents! Now i'm a legal resident(green card) We come to work and find a better future...were not here to rape,pilige,murder your women! Half of my family came over here illegal....theirs probably more then 50 of us now!! They worked in the fields,hospitals,security guards,etc! And we never got on welfare,now half of our family all have bussinesses! And no....we never sold drugs,killed anybody or stole to get where were at now!! And i understand that their is people that come from mexico and get welfare and what ever and commit crimes...but theirs more of us that want to progress in life and become sucessful! Were here to work and help each other out,we work and we help this economy out..we do most jobs that americans dont want or like!! Well thats about it.....please understand!

Enlist in the Military. Maybe after fighting for this country you will understand how infuriating it is when someone just comes over uninvited and uses our resources and sends money back to their country instead of putting it into OUR economy.

The number of illegal aliens in this country are simply more than our infrastructure can handle, such as schools and hospitals and welfare. I here on the news about how we need to reform our immigration laws and try to make out like we have something against latin people, but that is not true. The facts are this. We have more than 2 million immigrants come to this country legaly each year and and issue more than 600,000.00 visa's a year. that is more than any 3 countries combined in the world that allow immigration. And what you say is true the majoraty are here to work and raise families, I would ask you this though. The latin people left Mexico for several differnt reason's, one of them was to leave the the corruption behind, and we as Americans have a responsibility to protect our citizen's, how do we do that if the criminals come across the border?. I think the best thing we could do is help the the immigrant people get there papers, kind of like a support group, so that they can reach the goals they want here. The Mexican culture is terrific, I live around a lot of them and they are hard working family oriented people that like to have a good time. I read were you say that Mexican people do jobs that others don't want or like, I am a little older and would like to say what I have seen. I live in the south and in the 70's and 80's lawn's were cut by teenagers and there were furniture and textile mills everywere. These type of factory jobs were some of the dirtiest and nastiest jobs you could do, and those factories supported entire towns the workers started demanding better living conditions and better wages and were starting to get them when corporate America found a solution to this, Immigrant's and import's, I'm not saying it's the Immigrant's fault I'm just explaining the cause and affect. The sad thing is were losing our middle class and sacrificing the things that make up the foundation of our country and are being manipulated by corporate companies. They make up this stuff so they can keep us at each others throats and flood the market with cheap help at the same time.

Now that you are a member of this society, maybe you can see things from a different perspective. Did you move from a ghetto to a nice suburb? Did you get an education and decide that you want to be paid a decent wage? Does it bother you when someone who just got here takes the job you want for much less than you would work for? Do you like for your house to look nice and the houses around you? Do you like to shop in stores that are clean where the people are polite? Do you want your children to go to a nice school that is not too crowded? What do you think about your neighborhood hospital crowded with people who pay no taxes and have no insurance? Do you feel proud of the fact that you can tell people your real name, your real social security number, that your license shows your real address, that you do not have to lie and scheme every day? Are you suspicious of people who lie everyday and commit fraud? Do you hate paying so much taxes but you do it because it is the right thing to do? How do you feel about the people who refuse to pay or who claim six kids they don't have just to get out of paying?

If you think about all those things, you will know why we are against illegal immigrants. We do not like it when people come and ruin the nice lifestyle we worked so hard to get.

I congratulate you on the fact that you,and your family, are now legal and have led an exemplary life in this country.If every one would do that then perhaps we wouldn't be having this discussion. But not every illegal comes with your family's good intentions. They do come to rob, rape and murder.Just as some of our legal citizens do.
There has to be a way to control who is in this nation and for what reason. Just as it is easy for illegal aliens to enter this nation,so could terrorists. Its just too easy to circumvent the law. This nations laws must be obeyed by everyone,we can not decide what laws we wish to obey and those we choose to break.

Because it is illegal. The fabric and structure of America is being shredded and stretched beyond what it will be able to tolerate because immigration is out of control and too many people are coming here. Those people then propagate and America ends up with even way too many more. Our society is slowly going to pieces because it really can only handle so much. This increase in the number of people here has made the quality of life spiral downhill because natural resources are used faster, more pollution occurs and the crowding is really becoming a nuisance. Did you know that the building of new schools is phenomenal trying to keep up, it is unreal.

I don't have a problem with you doing jobs others won't or can't do (there are many like myself who do not have the physical stamina to do farm labor or manual labor so don't criticize those already here who can't hold up under physical labor like that) but the number of those let into this country must be monitored and a limit set. Most often people base their opinions on misinformation, stereotyping, misconceptions, and just general anger/frustration. In fact, most people assume that if you marry a U.S. Citizen you automatically gain "citizenship" status. A quick glance of the law and a five minute review of the uscis.gov website will confirm that this is erroneous. They also assume that everyone who is here illegally or undocumented is from Mexico. The fact is that "illegal" immigration is not just about Hispanics or Mexicans. I never hear anyone talking about the other illegal immigrants in this country; the ones that "blend" with the rest of the population, because they have blond hair and blue eyes. Yes, people, we do have illegal immigrants from Europe and Canada. You're welcome to call USCIS (the acronym for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service) to confirm this. However, that issue is really not open to discussion is it?

First I don't hate the people like you but I hate the US gov allowing the disregard of our laws. It pisses me off when our own citizens get by with crimes and it is even worse when none citizens do it. We the tax payers have to pay the price for illegal immigration through higher taxes and less in return for the taxes. Look at the decline in the schools of the south west and it is painfully obvious that illegal immigration has a negative impact on our kids. It is not about politics but the price that I worry. The Gang MS13 is the largest most violent gang world wide and is largely made of immigrants from South and Central America and Mexico. They have gotten into the Coyote business and indoctrinate their new arrivals/clients into their gang and make them work off their debts. I do think that most Mexicans have good intentions during their border crossing but 3.00 an hour doesn't support a family and they are forced into other crimes.

I understand - to a point. But one of the problems is that there are people who have been on legal waiting lists for years trying to gain access to the country. There are some illegal aliens that are not contributing to our economy, but take advantage of our liberal policies. And, Americans DO want jobs - any job. I don't know where people decided that Americans are too arrogant to do certain types of work. If I need to support my family, I'll do anything it takes to feed and house them.

How about YOU please understand? Back around 1940, a man I know wanted to emigrate to the U.S. He did it legally, which meant that he had to leave the country and apply at a U.S. consulate, in his case he went to Argentina. He needed to get in under the established quota for his country and be issued a number from there. Since his country had been occupied, that meant he had to trust that the Nazis would allow it. Fortunately, they did. THEN he could get papers as an immigrant, but that didn't make him a citizen. He couldn't be one because, since his country was occupied by the Nazis, he was considered a hostile alien. In addition, he had to prove that he could support himself. That was done by opening a bank account and placing $500 in it, which he did. That would be like requiring immigrants today to open a bank account and put $5,000 to $10,000 in it. But he could be, and was, drafted into the U.S. Army. At the conclusion of WW2, legislation was passed allowing immigrant war veterans to obtain citizenship. So he became a citizen.

But you insist that merely picking grapes and keeping your nose clean is enough. Piss off.

You said "we do most jobs that Americans don't want or like". You are now legal, which makes you an American, no matter what your back round. The problem I have is when a legal immigrant still speaks of "Americans" as though we are vulgar. Reality check, you're one of us now. You can't tell me you want to become an American and then turn around and have this "Americans suck" attitude. That's what pisses us off. Be an American, or be a Mexican and go back to Mexico.
