Go to the grocery store and pick up those fruit/vegatable trays that are already made. You could also serve mini sandwiches, Velveeta/Rotel dip with chips, fondue....

There is a show broadcast on The Food Network called "Semi-Homemade" with Sandra Lee. She has recipes for some really great appetizers that are quick and easy with ingredients that you probably already have or at least can readily get at the grocery store.
If you go to the Food Network site, you can access her show/recipes as well as several others. It is a fantastic site for all things cooking/entertaining related!
Good Luck!
p.s. Look up "tapas" too! They are great trendy appetizers!

Everything Chicken Tenders
takes about 40 mins. to make all together!
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons instant minced onion
3 tablespoons garlic flakes
3 tablespoons poppy seeds
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons coarse salt or sea salt
1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders
extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling (EVOO)
wood skewers, soaked in water for 10 to 15 minutes
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
12 ounces sour cream
6 scallions, chopped
PREP
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Place the minced onion, garlic flakes, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, black pepper and coarse salt on a plate and mix it all together.
Coat the chicken tenders with some EVOO, giving them a toss to make sure they are completely covered.
Place skewers through each chicken tender lengthwise.
Dip each skewer of chicken into the seed mixture and turn to coat.
Continue until all the chicken have been coated then transfer skewers to a nonstick baking sheet and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes, turning them over about mid-way through the time.
While the chicken is cooking make the dipping sauce:
In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream.
Stir in the chopped scallions and season with a little salt and pepper, to taste.
Remove the chicken tenders from the oven and serve with the scallion-cream cheese dipping sauce.
Enjoy! ;).

for quick and easy apps I like to have a package of phylo dough on hand. Take three sheets and brush each with olive oil and layer them together, cut into 5 equal strips. at the top of each strip put a small spoon of your favorite filling ,take one corner and fold over to the opposite corner making a triangle, fold over the open edge to continue the triangle pattern until you reach the end of the strip. Bake at 400 til the phylo is light brown and flakie.
Fillings;
Diced cooked chicken with chopped mushrooms, ham and jalapeno cheese, mushroom and sundried tomatoes, cooked and drained spinach with feta and onion, artichoke and katamala olives. Or what ever your favorite fillling might be..

Easy Buffalo wings:
(2) 5 lb. bags of FROZEN chicken wing sections
thaw and season the wings with seasoned salt and garlic powder
bake the wings on a lightly oiled and foil lined cookie sheet on 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes (or until done)
Mix a couple bottles of good hot sauce (preferrably Frank's) in a bowl with a stick of margarine or butter, heat it up in the microwave until the butter is melted and the sauce is hot.
Toss the wings in a bowl with the sauce, then arrange them on a serving plate...serve the wings with ranch or bleu cheese dressing.

Veggies and Dip
1 envelope Hidden Valley Ranch Dip (1 ounce)
16-ounce container fat free (or light) sour cream
Raw veggies: baby carrots, celery sticks, zucchini coins, jicama sticks, cherry tomatoes
Mix the ranch packet with 16 ounces of sour cream. If you have time, refrigerate dip for one hour before serving, to thicken and blend flavors.
Serve with assorted raw veggies.
Another great dip recipe...
8-ounce block of light or 1/3 less-fat cream cheese
2 tablespoons low-fat milk
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 cup fresh or frozen (recently thawed) tiny or small shrimp, drained, rinsed and patted dry very well
4 scallions, chopped
3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (3 to 4 ounce) can sliced black olives, patted dry
1 cup (4 ounces) grated, part-skim mozzarella cheese, packed (reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese can also be used)
Mix the cream cheese and milk in a small mixing bowl with mixer until smooth. Spread on a small serving platter or in a 9x5-inch loaf pan in an even layer. Layer the remaining ingredients on top of the cream cheese, in the order that they appear in the ingredient list. Chill at least one hour before serving. Serve with reduced-fat tortilla chips or wheat crackers.
Easy Crock Pot Meatballs
3-5 lbs frozen cooked small meatballs
1 (32 ounce) jar grape jelly
2 (12 ounce) jars chili sauce
1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
In a pot combine the grape jelly with the chili sauce; add in the meatballs and simmer for about 45 minutes uncovered or until the sauce has thickened.

Deviled Eggs? They always go over well at parties! Just boil up some eggs really well, then cut them in half, scoop out the yellow part and mix in one part yellow mustard and one part mayonaise. Stir it up, sprinkle in some salt and pepper (and maybe a little bit of chives), spoon the mix back in the eggs and sprinkle with paprika. Place on a serving tray and you are Martha Stewart in everyone's book!
