I know it's probably a really broad generalization, but I have dated some incredibly gorgeous men, like model-good-looks, but every one of them has ended up being a cheater, a liar, or just plain ignorant. Why is this? Is it because they've never had to develop a personality beyond their good looks? And if all the hot ones are jerks, how do I get over being so shallow and allow myself to be attracted to "normal" nice guys? (I know I sound really into surface crap, but I can't deny it's true)

yes...but the normal nice guys suck you in with their wit and compatible charm that if you give it a couple weeks- maybe sooner, you'll find yourself attracted to them in a heated sort of way..for example my husband. He's an average looking normal guy who has a beautiful smile,and amazing green eyes. When I met him, he was wearing a baseball hat,drinking a beer and had his shirt ripped from a little scuffle with the boys...thought he was cute,went on a few dates and got to know him and his quirky sense of humor and suddenly I was like, damn he's hot,hope he call again,etc... we're going on 11 yrs and he still rocks my world. any other girl who may look at him probably sees average joe but not this girl- he's my hottie.

I have several friends of mine that are considered "really attractive" guys.. yes they mostly do cheat and lie because they know if they get caught by one woman - big deal,, there's another one waiting to go out with them the next night. Plain and simple. This isnt from personal exerience just observations and chatting amongst guys. Just an unsolicited response as well.. you seem intelligent so you should be able to sniff these guys out within a few minutes.. they usually start off a conversation with something stupid or coy just to peak some interest and then talk about what they do or how they are so this and that.. but there are some good ones out there...that are little more scandalous..

Because you are more focused on looks. Guys who are pretty can get any girl they want because thats all your type of girl really cares about. Since they can get tons of girls they are not going to stay with just one they are going to play around.
Guys who are not as pretty care more for the people they are with and respect them a lot more. The none good looking or average guys are the ones girls ALWAYS reject call nerds geeks or make fun of some oher way but these are the guys who will make the person they are with more happy.
Looks aren't everything. Find a guy who has a good personality and who can make you smile not someone with a pretty face.

Its just like hot gurls can be b******s. When people are attractive they do not need to be nice to get friends/attention/sex. So they are often not. Its the more plain people that have to develop humor and charm/kindness to get attention from others.

guys r always like that. the reason y they end up being big jerks is because, they kno that they are hot, and they get all cocky/stuck up and crap. dont let it get to u, cuz if u really like a certain guy and he's a big fat jerk 2ward u then he's not the right guy 4 u, he isn't worth it, and u prolly deserve wayy wayy wayy better!
