I have a 5 year old female miniature schnauzer that weighs just under 5 lbs. When I brought the cat into the household he started suckling on the dog. He was 6-8 weeks old when I got him, and started nursing on the dog from day one. It was weird and cute at the same time when he was younger, but now he has gotten bigger than the schnauzer. The cat won't stop nursing on the dog no matter how many times I get on to the sickos. I don't want to put the thought into the dog's mind that nursing is bad, in case she has some pups of her own. The schnauzer has not been in heat since the whole thing began around 8 or 9 months ago, and I think she just likes being a mom. I want to breed the schnauzer and haven't found a way to keep the two from going at it. The dog just walks up and puts it in his face. I have thought about getting one of those dog sweaters to cover up her nipples, but I can't help but think that there is something else I can do to "wean" the cat. Please help.

I had a cat like that, she never stopped. Good luck with the sweater thing though. Its usually when they were taken away from their mothers too young. Animals don't sin, so they don't get punished for sinning.

So why do you have a problem with this? After all, you've probably had milk that was suckled from a cow by a big vacuum pump and even the bible allows people to drink the milk of non-people.

We had a male dog who used to pick up and carry around our kitten as if she was a puppy. It's just dogs and cats acting out the story of the good Samaritan.

Besides, christians don't believe that animals have souls so they can't go to heaven. But that's okay because people don't have souls either and once you die you're dead.

The pets won't go to hell, but if you want to bread the dog then you should probably invest in a dog sweater eventually they will get tired or forget about it.

They will go to Heaven. Ask your Vet what you can use to cover up the nipples. And please re-post this question minis the "Are they going to Hell?" part and you may get your answer. I think its wonderful that your pets can show love more than people here can! They are not sinning!

Kitty will outgrow the behavior. It's enough to make a dog laugh :-)

My kitten does this with my adult cat (they are not related) and it drives me crazy. I think she just does it for comfort. Just be glad your cat and dog get along so well. I think its kinda cute.

Love and enjoy your pets here and now, because there in nothing in the bible leading us to believe they will be in heaven or hell.

Wow, that is weird! Sounds like they have gotten attached, so you may have to seperate them, whatever that may mean.
