Because atheists are interested in the truth, not opinions.
The truth is blatantly obvious to anyone who removes his opinions of it. That's why atheists don't argue with each other. They all know the same truth.

About theology, i would have to agree. They both believe that God does not exist so what is there to argue about? There really isnt anything else to Atheism so I would think they would not agrue. But two atheists who both like that same girl, they would probably argue.

Well, many of the Christians can't even decide in the trinity or not. Some fight over the realness of hell, and how God views Homosexuality. Obviously they are totally clueless in general. Atheist use common sense to reach their beliefs, not personal preference or blind belief in anything someone tells them. We accept the truth whether it be unpleasant, or pleasant.

I had a big fight with my g/f a few nights ago - does that count? and it wasn't that civil!
Seriously though, truth is empirical and cannot be disputed once sufficient evidence is in and evidence is the deciding factor. That keeps some disputes to a minimum. But politics? Run for the hills!

Buddhism has taught me that uncivilized arguing is a waste of time, time better spent in trying to do things for the benefit of all sentient beings, which includes working to preserve the planet that we live on, putting an end to or blocking hatred where I can, etc.

because atheiest set out to find out the truths and facts. They reason and provide real scientific evidence, investigate or hypothesis based on real actual facts. Also atheist are rationalists. christians are not, they are just faithfull and traditional.
christians and other religious groups dont try to find out what really happened but just assumed what really happened. They never actually go out to the world and investigate.
Athiests value finding out the truth, even if it means having to change an outdated belief if its in accurate or wrong and up date it. Christians value traditiona passed down beliefs and dont seem like they dont want to update there beliefs or how they think of the world as true.
christians wouldnt allow you to invesitigate certain things about christianity because they value tradition over the truth and facts. Even if it means going to war.
Athiests value facts and truth over traditions

Because we're a) more logical, b) usually think things through better, and c) don't think that heaven, hell, life or death hinge on our beliefs.
Elfkin: I'm down with the atheist/ agnostic war... it wouldn't last long, though. We'd all see buddies of ours and get into a GREAT philosophical debate and end up all being best friends.

Why? Because we employ REASON instead of FAITH to determine the truth value in claims and/or concepts.
Like I said in my profile:
"I find faith to be detrimental and totally without redeeming value. Faith is not a valid epistemological procedure and should not be regarded as a trustworthy method of ascertaining the truth value in any claim or concept. Faith allows for dogmatic certainty in the absence of and sometimes in spite of justification and reason."
Faith is the problem. Atheists are not religiously faithful and therefore are not directly influenced by this problem.

But that's where people get confused this is not Gods fault this is religion. You have some that say they are Baptist because of John the Baptist. But that's what he did not what he was thus the confusion. But you can blame the church's for this not God, for God said their shall be no high places ( Church's ) built in which to worship me. But rather than read the Bible they let someone tell them what it says.

Logic hardly every fails. Atheist usually have a strong understanding and trust in logic and like science are usually willing to take a more logical view over a less logical one.
