hey sean. in some areas yes. now i am not a biologist so i dont know everything but, yeah in some areas. like thier whiskers. they are actually "feelers". thier noses and ears. they can smell like 100 times better than us. they hearing is awesome too. hope this answers your question.

There hearing is more acute but nerve wise it is about the same as humans.Animals as with humans will become stressed out at there human families problems.They also have there fears.I have one who hates thunder storms.He cries and will not let me sleep till its over.
If you are talking Pain? It is the same as humans also.
If you just consider what ever is done to your dog---how would you react or feel then you will know how your dog feels and reacts.
