Someone else will suggest a good lotion...

My suggestion is to wear that lotion and rubber/cotton gloves to bed. This locks in all the moisture and is kind of like an INTENCE treatment.

A good habit is to moisturize your hands after every time you wash them to replenish the moisture that the soap takes away. Also, your skin absorbs products more efficiently when it is moist. Therefore, another good time to moisturize your skin is after a shower.

Moreover, try to keep your hands out of the sun as it can cause wrinkles and damage. You could wear sunscreen or gloves to help with this.

A great product to use is Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream in a 2 oz bottle. It is kind of pricey for a little bottle, but you only need a small amount to keep your hands soft. The size is also convenient to keep in your bag to moisturize during the day.

What makes the biggest difference in the condition of my hands is petroleum jelly. It doesn't have to be Vaseline; the cheaper equate brand works just as well too. My tip is to take a dime size amount and apply it all over the hands focusing especially on the drier parts. Since the jelly is oily, you can use a lotion over the jelly for extra softness and to reduce the shine and oil of the jelly. The more you do this during the day the better, but at least try to apply it before you go to bed.

The lotions I recommend are Vaseline Intensive Care lotions and St. Ives Intensive healing lotion.

I used to have dry, flaky hands because of the winter weather and how often I wash them. However, my hands look and feel much better now that I use the petroleum jelly. Just yesterday, my friend commented on how smooth my hands were, which is something I don't hear that often :)

Oh, this is a long answer, but I hope it is helpful!

Herbal Serenity Instant Manicure (salt scrub with essential oils) and Extreme Repair Hand Therapy hand creme (3 wash memory! Won't come off through three hand washings. Also has alpha hydroxy acids which continues to ex foliate, which helps the moisturizers do their job better.)

These are a great products from BeautiControl. They are one of my absolute favorite at home spa treatments...and works wonderfully.

Here is a great inexpensive "spa like" treatment for dry hands. Living in Wisconsin, our winters cause very dry skin!

I use about 2 tablespoons of regular white table sugar in the palm of my hand, then drizzle olive oil over the sugar to make a paste. Gently rub this over your hands.....the sugar acts as a scrub to remove dry flaky skin and the olive oil is a natural moisturizer!! Rinse with warm water and seal with a shea butter based lotion.........your hands will feel like silk!!

Mary Kay has a kit its about $20-25 but it lasts you about a year depending on how often you do it, Sally Hansen has some really good hand creams about $7-8 :)

Hi I hope all is well. For soft hands I suggest Cocoa Butter or Suave Therapy. Do not wash your hands with hot water, try warm water leaning more towards cold water. I hope everything turns out smoooooooooth.

I live in Las Vegas, the desert dries your hands out so bad it flakes!

I use vasaline...not the lotion the jelly in the tub. Put it on before bed and wear gloves overnight. Super soft and healthy looking skin!

I like to use Mary Kay's Satin Hands. It's a cleanser, exfoliator, cream and moisturizer set. It's really good. It can be somewhat pricey but well worth it!!
