give her a few weeks and see what kind of personality she has and name her off that. i have a kitten that we call spaz because that is exactly what she is a spaz, we have another names Narcissus because all she ever does is sit in front of my full length mirror looking at herself! go with what comes natural. i like mounds, they have a lot of selection and they aren't to badly priced, walmart is good for toys if you have a rather larger one. i like pets mart the best because you can get a preferred pet card that gets you BIG discounts! good luck with you new little one

I have always been partial to the name "Snuggles" for a kitten. It 's funny that you described your kitten with the white stripes on each leg. I had a kitten just like that once, many years ago, she looked just like puss n boots too! Those adorable big round innocently curious eyes were what attracted me to that particular bundle of fun. She liked to sit on my shoulder and put her nose up under my hair, there she would cat nap. She was so lovable that I named her Snuggles. Her favorite toy was a mouse filled with catnip after she grew out of kitten age, but when she was a kitten, she loved to play hide and seek with me. That baby gave me so many hours filled with laughter! She got mad at me when I moved to a new home and ran away. I never found her again and I missed her so much. I still miss her today. Have fun with your new kitten and enjoy her still as a grown cat. She will never let you down! I guess it is a she. I may be wrong. It just sounded so much like my Snuggles that I got carried away. Sorry about that! I'm an old sentimental fool! Best wishes to you with your new pet!

Okay. You have to believe me on this one. 1) Laser pointer - my cats will chase the little red dot for hours - they're like little addicts - they hear the button click and come running from the two rooms away. 2) fuzzy tiger/leopard print tail on the end of a stick - it looks like one of those ribbon things that Russian women gymnasts used to perform with - you can spin it in circles, you can whip it into the air and let it fall back to them and then whip it up again - both of my cats flew up in the air trying to get to it. 3) Put a bird feeder outside a window the cat can get to (and putting a cat tree next to the window would make it easier on the cat, your curtains, the windowsill, etc. 4) The ball in the big round doughnut (see below for a picture). I put mine half under the sofa for extra added mystery. This one was very popular for about a year. They've backed off of it considerably once they hit adulthood.

She's probably too young for catnip. They usually don't respond to it for 9 months or so.

There are these scratching things that are small cardboard boxes (about 1" deep, 5"x9"). They're the only things that my cats have ever preferred to upholstered furniture and wooden door molding.

Note that the links below are for purposes of identification only (though I shop at both places, as well as my neighborhood pet shop).

Butterscotch or Butter, Ofira, Oriel, Gilda, Goldie, Amber, Honey. Kitties love little dangly things hanging of a wire. My kitten absolutely loves it! Also, maybe a string handing off a wand, it's also a good toy. Good luck!

The names I like are: Isis "Egyptian Goddess" (eye-sis), Nolita, Lola, Roxy, Cali, Tabby (would work for her pattern), Lolita, Nollie, Lilu, etc! I just named my kitten Nollee (Nole-Lee) something different that next to no one has! I got the idea off of a Pac Sun name brand, changed the spelling and the pronunciation! You will find something that suites you and your kitty! My cats favorite toys are: Rainbow Balls, Pom Pom balls, Catnip Mice, Feathers, etc! They have so many toys its ridiculous! You'll be surprised how most will be amused with the simplest toy!

Any toy that is string or wire with a toy attached to the end has always been a favorite for my cats.

I like the names Nala, Punkin, and Kizzie. I prefer Petsmart for my pet needs. They have a good selection for both dogs and cats. I bought my girls (Zitle and Zoe) a pink princess fishing pole this week. I tied a play mouse to the end of the line, and cast it out. Then reel it back in. THEY LOVE IT!! Just be careful with the fishing line! They have fishing pole cat toys, but you can't cast them as far!

I like:
Calypso, CeeCee, Gabby, Baylee, and Sunshine.

As for toys, my cats LOVE to play with paper bags, wads of tin foil, large bottle caps (I monitor closely how tiny things are because cats can choke on buttons and rubber bands). Crumpled newspaper, balls, and pretty much anthing that will move! I used to let them play with Qtips, but they started eating the cotton.

If you want to buy, the fake mice and the cheap foldable popup connectable tent things are awesome!

Hope this helps!

:)

try to name her based on her personality. my kitten is super-hyper, more so than my last ones, and especially early in the morning, hence... coffee.

toys... i have a laser pointer my kitten just loooovvvveeees. large keychains (not rings), paper bags, anything that hangs off of a string, toilet paper rolls, paper towels, wrapping paper... etc. etc.

When ur kitten is happy she'll play with anything.

good luck.
