You can accept the date, but let him know the deal up front. You'll save the both of you alot of heartache if you keep things clear from the beginning. Hope that helps.

tell them that you aren't ready to date anyone right now and that you're going through a "me" phase. Say you really enjoy hanging out, but you don't want anything to get complicated or weird, and so you just want to be friends. Know that the whole time this guys is "friends" with you, he's going to be looking for chances to be more than friends. soo... you probably can't be friends for very long, because now you're not allowed to date anyone because he'll find out and know you lied. GIRLS CAN'T BE FRIENDS WITH GUYS! ONE OF THEM ALWAYS LIKES THE OTHER. If you don't like him, he always likes you. It's a proven fact. good luck!

That happened to me once. I just let the guy down easy...he wanted to go out and I just told him, "you're a really good friend and i'd rather not jeopardize our friendship right now."

that happened to me on Monday, and i always feel really bad after saying no to a guy. right now im just friends with him, once i get to know him better we might start going out, but try to get to know the guy first before you make up your mind. when i was asked i was about to say no way but after talking with him in between periods i found out hes a really sweet guy, his first language is Spanish so its sorta hard to understand him but im happy i did.
