Hi, i was wondering about this thing i read in a book about men. It said that if a man truly likes you, then they will ask you out. Is that entirely true? Are teenage guys in highschool that way? I'm having a hard time believing this thing that i read.

I see...these are all good answers. Also, i'd like to add that teenage guys are weird, and do you think if you asked a guy out when it was obvious that he liked you and he lied and said he had a g/f, but after that he still acted like he liked you...why is that? what does that mean? Is he afraid of something? or does he just not like the girl? could a teenage boy do that just because he's afraid to ruin his reputation with his freinds or could it possibly be because of low self esteem? or could it be because he didn't know how to respond? all helpful answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks

This isn't 100 percent true. Most guys, if they liked a girl enough, would ask them out. But that doesn't cover the portion of shy guys in the world. Some guys are just too shy, and too afraid of what the girl might say. They might even like her so much, they don't want to ask her out, in fear of rejection.

Almost always true unless the guy is super super shy. Trust me, I have dated A LOT in my 25 years and the guys that are most into you are the ones who seek YOU out, NOT the other way around. Don't waste your time on someone who won't spend their time on you. Why make someone a priority if they only make you an option? Guys go after what they want. It's in their genetic coding - to seek out the female of the species. Those that want you WILL come to you. Don't waste your time with those who don't.

No, it's not entirely true. If you read the questions by teenage boys on this site they are very perplexed about how to ask girls out, how to get them to like them, how to not be scared to ask. If a guy has confidence he will be able to make the first move. If there is someone you like who has not asked, you be the confident one & ask him to do something.
Lesson: Don't beleive everything you read.

Teenagers are weird. They don't know how to act around girls. A guy could like you and treat you like dirt because he doesn't know how to act around you. He is as uncomfortable around girls as you are around guys.

No, I don't think it is. Many guys do this but I know I don't. Generally, guys are too nervous to do it, sometimes even after they know you like them back.

I would think that if a guy liked you enough to ask you out, if he is mature enough, he would ask you out
be cool...
