does it conver mp3 to cd format thats wat im asking so any cd player can play it

You have to set up this option in the preferences, you can burn a CD, MP3 or Data CD. When you set it to record a CD, then any player can play it. When you burn an mp3 CD only mp3 CD players can play it.

I would say that your best bet would be to burn it to the standard format of just a plain cd, because if it's burned as a regular cd, any cd player can play it, but if you burn it to an mp3 cd, only certain cd players or devices can be able to play it, such as most dvd players, or special cd players. Even though an mp3 cd can hold more songs than a regular cd, I would say to burn it as the regular cd if you'd like to be able to play that cd in your car, stereo, etc.

Standard will be cd format. You can change it. But if you just installed it... cd format.
I burn my mp3s with ITUNES and it converts it to cd format. 99% of the cd players can play it. Unless you got a really old old old one! CD format is also called "wave files" (.WAV)
mp3 file that is 5mb, will be about 50mb as a wav file.
