Has you're grandfather ever harmed the dog in anyway? If so, there's you're answer.

Dogs have a great instinct , they will also remember someone that hurt them, whether intentional or not.. Does Grandpa wear a hat? My dogs absolutely go crazy when a guy comes in the house with a hat on.

we have an aggressive dog as well. Believe it or not, if he hands him a treat everytime he walks in the door, and have him visit often, he will warm up to him and eventually he will be able to put his hand down with no treat and your dog will not snarl. We did that with my grandfather. Good luck

Yorkies can be high strung and never like any one but their owner. It could be an odor { caused by medication, foods { gas }, after shave, bath soap, tobacco, alcohol, I could go on and on. It's time to make like a detective, sometimes there is no real reason. Let me know if I can help further.

Has ur grandpa just moved in, if so give it more time. Another possibilty tat would help would be tat, ur grandpa can be the one who fills his food tray, and give him treats when ur dog does something good.
